Jamie Hewlett

I find the work of Jamie Hewlett very interesting because he has worked with graphics, illustration and animation.
My specialist interest is illustration, Jamie works a lot in this area and i feel as though these pieces of his art are the strongest, in my opinion because they catch my eye more and they inspire me. I find my drawings similar to Jamie's because I find him inspiring and this is the type of work I would like to do and concentrate on.

He is the animator for the band Gorillaz. He is the artist behind  fictional characters of the group. Watching the Gorillaz videos when i was younger is what inspired me to draw illustration/animation. The drawings have always inspired me.

In 2001 Jamie set up his own graphic design/animation company, Zombie Flesh Eaters.

He also co-created the popular British comic-strip "Tank Girl"

I have always looked into comic book art too, however i find that Jamie's work is a bit more unique looking and holds a darker image to most comics.

I find that his work inspires me because his work is different and is more unique than any other I have seen before, i also find it interesting how the drawings didn't have to catch my eye with bright colours, but the fact that they are quite detailed eve for animation/illustration. I feel like I also use that in my drawings.
